If your Magazine.io subscription expires, your account may enter a temporary grace period before publisher access is fully limited.
This gives you time to renew your plan if you still want to keep using Magazine.io.
Before your subscription expires
Magazine.io does not use automatic renewal.
This means your plan will not automatically charge your card at the end of the subscription period.
Before your expiration date, we will send an email reminder so you have time to renew your subscription.
Renewal reminders are usually sent around:
- 1–2 weeks before your expiration date
You can check your expiration date from:
- My Account → My Membership
Grace period after expiration
After your subscription expires, your account may enter a grace period.
The current grace period is:
- 30 days
During this time, you may still have access to your account so you can renew your plan and avoid losing publisher access.
The grace period is intended to help if you missed the reminder email, forgot to renew, or need a little extra time to complete renewal.
What may happen during the grace period?
During the grace period, your existing publications may remain available, but your ability to use publisher features may be limited.
For example, you may not be able to:
- Upload new publications
- Use additional publication slots
- Access all publisher features
- Make full use of your active publication limit
You should renew your plan as soon as possible if you want to keep your account active without interruption.
What happens after the grace period?
If your subscription is not renewed before the grace period ends, your publisher access may be suspended.
This may affect:
- Your ability to upload new publications
- Your ability to edit existing publications
- Your public publication pages
- Access to publication analytics
- Your active publication limit
Your publications may be unpublished or removed from public access until your plan is renewed.
Will my publications be deleted?
Expired subscriptions do not automatically mean your publications are immediately deleted.
However, if your subscription remains expired after the grace period, your publications may no longer remain publicly available.
To avoid interruption, renew your subscription before the grace period ends.
How to renew after expiration
To renew your subscription:
- Log in to your Magazine.io account.
- Go to My Account → My Membership.
- Check your plan status and expiration date.
- Follow the renewal option if available, or visit the Pricing page.
- Choose your plan and complete checkout.
After renewal, your publisher access should be restored.
What if I renew during the grace period?
If you renew during the grace period, your account can continue without major interruption.
Your publications can remain active, and you can continue using your plan based on the publication limit included with your renewed subscription.
What if I no longer want to renew?
If you do not want to continue using Magazine.io, you do not need to renew.
Because Magazine.io does not use automatic renewal, you will not be charged automatically when your subscription expires.
After the grace period ends, your publisher access and public publications may be limited or removed from public access.
Summary
Magazine.io subscriptions do not renew automatically. We send a reminder before your expiration date, and expired accounts may receive a 30-day grace period to renew. If the subscription is not renewed after the grace period, publisher access may be suspended and public publications may be unpublished until the plan is renewed.
