How to upload a publication

To upload a publication to Magazine.io, go to your dashboard and use the Upload PDF page.

A publication is created from a PDF file. You can also add a cover image, short description, and optional website link.

Before you upload

Make sure you have:

  • A finished PDF file
  • A cover image
  • A publication title
  • A short description
  • An optional website link

Your PDF should already be complete before uploading. Magazine.io does not edit or redesign your PDF.

How to upload your publication

  • Log in to your Magazine.io account.
  • Open My Account.
  • Click Upload PDF from the account menu.
  • Enter the publication title.
  • Upload your PDF file.
  • Upload a cover image.
  • Add a short description.
  • Optionally add a website link.
  • Click Submit.

After submitting, your publication will be created and added to your account.

Publication title

The title is the main name of your publication.

Examples:

  • Summer 2026 Magazine
  • Product Catalog 2026
  • Wedding Services Brochure
  • Community Newsletter – July Issue
  • Restaurant Menu

Choose a clear title that helps readers understand what the publication is.

PDF file

Upload the final PDF version of your publication.

This is the file readers will open online and may download if PDF downloads are available on your publication page.

Cover image

The cover image is used as the visual preview for your publication.

It may appear on your publication page, dashboard, and public listings.

For best results, use a clear image that represents the publication, such as the first page or cover of your PDF.

Short description

The short description helps readers understand what your publication is about.

Keep it simple and useful.

Example:

  • Our July issue featuring local stories, interviews, events, and community updates.

Website link

The website link is optional.

You can use it to send readers to your main website, store, booking page, contact page, or another relevant destination.

If you add a website link, readers may see a button on the publication page that lets them visit your website.

After uploading

After your publication is submitted, you can manage it from:

  • My Account → My Magazines

From there, you can view, edit, or delete your publication.

You can also check performance from:

  • My Account → Analytics

Why can’t I upload a publication?

You may not be able to upload if:

  • Your membership is not active
  • Your plan limit has been reached
  • Required fields are missing
  • The uploaded file type is not accepted

If your plan limit has been reached, you will need to delete or unpublish an existing publication, or upgrade to a higher plan.

Summary

To upload a publication, go to My Account → Upload PDF, complete the form, upload your PDF and cover image, then submit it. After uploading, your publication can be managed from My Magazines and tracked from Analytics.
